There is rarely a single explanation for emotional suffering.

Effective treatment considers the many factors that shape each person's experience.

Care at Meitri is attentive, collaborative and grounded in a careful understanding of your personal history, health, relationships circumstances, and goals.

Our services include:

Psychiatric Evaluation

Every patient receives a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation from one of our physicians, even when ongoing treatment is provided by another member of the clinical team. Assessments are thorough, individualized, and designed to provide a thoughtful understanding of your concerns before treatment begins.

Collaborative Practice

When appropriate, treatment may involve more than one clinician at Meitri or coordination with providers outside the practice. Longstanding professional relationships and mutual trust among our clinicians allow patients to benefit from the collective expertise of our team.

Medication Management

Medication is one of many tools available in mental health treatment. Decisions about medication are nuanced and individualized, with careful consideration of effectiveness, side effects, long-term health, and your preferences. We take time to discuss the rationale behind our recommendations, answer questions, and work with you to make informed decisions about your care.

Second Opinion

Mental health concerns can be complex. Dr. Pierce and Dr. Tran provide independent psychiatric consultation for individuals seeking diagnostic clarification, treatment recommendations, or a second opinion.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy provides an opportunity to better understand yourself, your relationships, and longstanding patterns while working toward meaningful and lasting change. Meitri brings together clinicians with different therapeutic backgrounds and areas of expertise, allowing treatment to be matched to each person's needs rather than a single therapeutic approach.

Consultation & Training

Dr. Pierce and Dr. Tran offer consultation to medical and mental health professionals on complex diagnostic, psychotherapeutic, and treatment questions. Services are available to individual clinicians, practices, and organizations.

What to expect

Request care

Complete our online inquiry form with some basic information about yourself and what brings you to treatment. A member of our clinical team will contact you to answer questions, discuss scheduling, and arrange your initial evaluation.

Intake forms

Before your evaluation, you'll complete a comprehensive intake questionnaire that reflects our approach to psychiatric assessment. This allows your clinician to focus on understanding your concerns rather than gathering background information during your first appointment.

Comprehensive evaluation

Treatment begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, which typically occurs over 1-3 sessions. This allows time to develop a thorough understanding of your concerns before making recommendations.

Together, we review the findings from your evaluation and develop a treatment plan based on your needs and goals. This may include psychotherapy, medication, collaboration with other providers, or a combination of approaches.

Ongoing care

If ongoing care at Meitri is recommended, treatment continues with the clinician(s) best suited to your needs. When another setting or specialty would better serve you, we'll help connect you with appropriate resources.
